We currently have two opportunities available within our Security Operations Centre (SOC), reporting to different Lead specialists (CSIRT &amp; SIEM).\n<br/>\n<br/>\nDay to day activities will include the operation of Jisc’s Security Operations Centre Service, including alert and support ticket triage, recognise the need to escalate, participation in incident handling duties as part of the Janet network CSIRT function, threat detection and analysis, using a range of Jisc-developed and commercial network and security related tools to gather intelligence, mitigate attacks and provide a SOC and incident response capability.\n<br/>\nYou will also provide an escalation point for the Security Analysts, supporting the Security Leads with Incident Management and with the ongoing development of security systems, helping to generate new mitigations and enhancing the internal security of Jisc to defend against future attacks more effectively.\n<br/>\n<br/>\nResponsibilities will include:\n<br/>\n• As directed by the Security Leads, support the team's response to security incidents, ensuring that they are handled promptly and effectively to minimize damage and downtime.\n<br/>\n• Alongside the Security Leads, take responsibility for managing and coordinating major cyber incidents to a successful conclusion\n<br/>\n• To support the continuous monitoring of SOC customer IT infrastructure, networks, and systems for signs of suspicious or malicious activity. This includes the use of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Endpoint Detect and Response (EDR) Network and DDoS tools.\n<br/>\n• To take part in the development of incident response drills and exercises to improve processes and procedures and to define improvement to incident response metrics.\n<br/>\n• To continuously improve current internal services technologies to improve threat analytics and incident management.\n<br/>\n• To assist in monitoring, detecting, and mitigating threats to our members via our Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system Splunk ES.\n<br/>\n<br/>\nKey Skills and Experience:\n<br/>\n• Sound understanding of IT environments and common infrastructure including: Microsoft Stack (Azure, Active Directory), Virtualisation Platforms, Backup Systems &amp; Cloud Platforms. Help us make a difference and support the UK Military and Aviation. The Mechanical Transport Department supplies transportation solutions to Royal Air Force (RAF) Northolt on a daily 24/7/365 days a year basis.\n<br/>\n<br/>\nDay-to-day you’ll be responsible for cover base duty vehicle driver requirements, including transporting RAF personnel which also includes coach driving.\n<br/>\n<br/>\nCarrying out VIP driving duties and checking vehicles daily/weekly in line with vehicle specifications and requirements.\n<br/>\nSeasonal snow and ice clearance in large LGV platforms, to allow critical flying to remain active.\n<br/>\nEnsuring that all transport services driver and vehicle documentation is completed relevant publications. Completion and maintenance of driver analogue tachograph discs and driver digital cards.\n<br/>\nReporting all vehicle defects to Control Staff in accordance with legislation and service publications.\n<br/>\nRefuelling, washing, vacuuming, checking of vehicle fluids and tyre condition of all vehicles as required.\n<br/>\n<br/>\nThis role is full time and based onsite at RAF Northolt, near Ruislip. You'll work an average of 38.5 hours a week on a shift basis (12hr rotational flexible shift basis, days and nights), however you'll need to be flexible as there may be changes to the roster from time to time, to meet customer needs.\n<br/>\n<br/>\nEssential experience of the Driver\n<br/>\n<br/>\nPrevious experience in a similar role\n<br/>\nPrevious experience within driving stakeholders and maintaining all required paperwork essential to hold Driver Vehicle Standard Authority (DVSA) Category D Licence with no more than three current Penalty Points.\n<br/>\nHold full clean driving license with categories B, C, and D.\n<br/>\n<br/>\nQualifications for the Driver\n<br/>\n<br/>\nYou must pass a Colour Perception test for aerodrome access and should be colour perception (CP) standard of Red Green CP2 (safe) or CP3 (defective/safe).\n<br/>\nDriver qualification card CPC, LGV and PSV.\n<br/>\nADR class 1 and 3 desirables.\n<br/>\n<br/>\nSecurity Clearance\n<br/>\nThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain UK - Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.\n<br/>\n<br/>\nMany of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
